Does a walk through metal detector damage medications held by the person?

I didn’t want my meds x-ray’d at the airport so she made me take them through the metal detector. Is this cause for concern?

    No, neither x-rays nor a metal detetctor should affect your medication.

    The cancer scare is mostly unfounded.
