Where are the best places to use a metal detector besides the beach?

    parks, your own backyard, any place you can legally go to can have buried stuff.

    School grounds and public parks. If you are looking for old coins… look in the older places that have been around for decades.

    Sometimes you can get permission to search on someones front yard but you need to ask first. Check the older homes when you have permission. I found many old coins that way from 1908 to the 1940′s.
