Metal Detecting Questions:

Does Sprint lie just to get you off the phone?

I went through 5 HTC Touch Pro’s in a 3 week period. Finally a Sprint rep told me that if I renew my contract for 1 year they will send me a NIB (new in box) TP (Touch Pro) I agreed. Then they called saying they have none, so if i renew my contract for 2 years they’ll send me the Touch Pro 2, NIB! I said yes. They sent me a refurbished one. I called back they said, “I SEE IT IN THE NOTES” we are very sorry, we’ll send you a NIB one right away! It never came. I called back, and the rep said there is nothing in your notes about receiving a NIB phone!
So tell me is the 2rd rep lying that its not in the notes? Was the 2nd rep lying that she’ll send me a new one? Was she lying she saw it in the notes? DID SHE DELETE IT?!?!?!? Was the first rep lying when she said she’d send a new one?!?!?!?
ARE THEY ALL LYING?!?!??!?!
Instead of “So tell me is the 2rd rep lying that its not in the notes” I meant to write, “So tell me is the 3rd rep lying that its not in the notes”

You should just dump Sprint and go to another phone company. AT&T or Verizon.
You shouldn’t have to take that from them. just leaaavvvvveeeeeeeeee them XD Best of luck!

Possessing a radio scanner in Florida?

In Florida, is it legal to possess a hand-held radio scanner that is not equipped with radar detector inside your vehicle, say like the scanner is just laying on the front seat of your car, if you only use it to listen to air traffic control?

Not a good idea:

No person, firm, or corporation shall install in any motor vehicle or business establishment, except an emergency vehicle or crime watch vehicle as herein defined or a place established by municipal, county, state, or federal authority for governmental purposes, any frequency modulation radio receiving equipment so adjusted or tuned as to receive messages or signals on frequencies assigned by the Federal Communications Commission to police or law enforcement officers of any city or county of the state or to the state or any of its agencies. Provided, nothing herein shall be construed to affect any radio station licensed by the Federal Communications System or to affect any recognized newspaper or news publication engaged in covering the news on a full-time basis or any alarm system contractor certified pursuant to part II of chapter 489, operating a central monitoring system.

wearytraveler47 asked:

I am going out west in June and would like to use my new detector if for nothing else but fun. Hopefully I will find a coin or piece of jewelry. Anyone know of good places to hunt for such things?

Metal Detecting Questions:

Lost bluetooth headphones. Can I physically relocate them?

I have an LG-HBS-200 set of wireless bluetooth headphones. I also have a bluetooth Hub in my USB port. My computer is connected to the headphones, but I can’t find them whereever I look. Is there a software that works like a metal detector or something so I can have these headphones in my hand?

part b) is it possible my headphones aren’t even in range of the computer, and it just thinks it’s connected?

Thanks

It’s a longshot, but try sending some loud music to the headphones, then walk around listening for it.

Because these are headphones rather than something that produces louder sound, this may not work. There’s also the possibility of sending too loud a sound and damaging the headphones.

Good luck.
